Project Overview
This project entailed the demolition of a detached residential property, including the excavation of a swimming pool, along with the removal of associated slabs and foundations. A key aspect was the dismantling of a garage situated at the front of the site. This had to be completed before any demolition work on the residential property could begin, in order to create proper access and exit routes to the rest of the site for future redevelopment.
Challenges and Considerations
One of the primary challenges was managing the site clearance while adhering to stringent safety and environmental regulations. Given the proximity of residential neighbours, adherence to noise and dust control measures was a top priority.
Additionally, the project required robust tree protection measures to preserve existing trees on the site in order to meet environmental guidelines and maintain the area's aesthetic value after the demolition.
